WA 2011 OVER 2000cc and Under 2000cc IMPROVED PRODUCTION CAR 
Club CHAMPIONSHIP Standing REGULATIONS

1. DEFINITION
1.1 The 2010 WA ‘Overs’ and ‘Unders’ Improved Production Car Club Championships, hereinafter referred to as “the Championships” shall be a series of races open to all competitors whose vehicles comply with the Improved Production Car (Group 3J) rules as defined by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) and who hold the minimum of a CAMS “PCC” (previously known as PC/C3) Licence.
1.2 Improved Production Cars of between 2001 and 6000cc engine capacity shall contest the Over 2000cc Championship.
1.3 Improved Production Cars of up to 2000cc engine capacity shall contest the Under 2Ltr Championship.

3. ORGANISERS
3.1 The organiser of the championship shall be the Improved Production Racing Association of WA Inc, hereinafter referred to as the “IPRAWA”.
3.2 The promoter of the racing events shall be the West Australian Sporting Car Club Inc, hereinafter referred to as the “WASCC”.

4. THE CHAMPIONSHIP
4.1 The championship shall each be contested over 6 rounds at the below venues.

 October Barbagallo WA  Rd 5 
 December Barbagallo WA  Rd 6 
 

4.2 Classes within each of the Championships shall be as follows:
Under 2Ltr Championship 0–1600cc and 1600-2000cc 
Over 2Ltr Championship 2001-3000cc and 3001-6000cc

5. CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
5.1 No championship or class points will be awarded to any competitor until the completed registration/membership form and fee are received by the IPRAWA treasurer.
5.2 The registration fee for the championship shall be $80. Membership fees also include membership of the IPRAA.

6. POINTSCORE
6.1 Points for the championship and for classes listed at 4.2 shall be awarded as follows:

6.2 The fastest qualifying competitor in each of the under 2Ltr and Over 2Ltr qualifying sessions shall be awarded one championship point (restricted to a single point per competitor). 
6.2.1 The 3rd race of each meet shall be for double points as per above schedule.
6.3 Championship points will be awarded according to the above point score table for all three races per championship round. Points will be awarded to both “Over” and “Under” 2Ltr Championships separately. 
6.4 Class points will be awarded using the above point score table according to the finishing position of each class’s competitor for each of the three races per championship round.
6.5 IPRAWA club trophies will be awarded according to the following:
6.5.1 Over and Under 2Ltr competitors
6.5.1.1 If at least 7 or more cars per Championship competed then trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded
If less than 7 but at least 5 cars competed per Championship, then trophies will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place getters.
If 4 or less cars competed per Championship, then trophies will be awarded only to the 1st place getter.
6.6 Any competitor can score points in different vehicles during the year subject to paragraph 1.1; however points will be awarded for the capacity Championship class in which the individual vehicle falls.
6.7 For competitors that end the championship on equal points the higher placing competitor will be decided on either the more races won or the higher placings finished.

7. AWARDS
 Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Under 2Ltr and Over 2Ltr Club Championship place getters shall be presented at the IPRAWA Presentation Dinner.
Further awards shall be given by the IPRAWA as follows:
Class awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class per Championship at the completion of the Championship.

8. VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY
8.1 The onus of proof of vehicle eligibility rests with the individual competitor at all times.
8.2 At the conclusion of any Championship race vehicles can expect to be directed to parc fermé without returning to the pits or paddock and without having been interfered with. Such vehicles shall remain under the control of the Eligibility Officer.
8.3 Any competing car may be impounded at the discretion of the Chief Scrutineer in accordance with the race meeting standing regulations.
 The Eligibility Officer and Technical Scrutineer for the Championship shall be Steve Maitland and/or Steve Thomas.
Any competing vehicle at the start of each championship race found not to be compliant with the CAMS 3J regulations and subsequent bulletins will forfeit any points accumulated for any races where the vehicle did not comply.
All championship competing vehicles must pass a CAMS safety audit and an eligibility audit (conducted by the IPRAWA Inc Eligibility Officer and CAMS scrutineer) annually before being eligible for championship points.

9. SPONSORS
9.1 Series naming rights sponsor of the Championship are various and will change from round to round. Cars competing in any Championship round must display, at a position on the vehicle requested by the series sponsor, the prescribed sponsor sticker(s) in accordance with 9.3.
9.2 All Cars competing in a Championship round must display one prescribed “Yokohama” sticker on either side of the car, one on the front and one on the back of the car. Stickers will be provided by Yokohama Motorsport and it is the competitor’s responsibility to pick up the required number of stickers.
9.3 Failure to comply with the above requirements (9.1 and 9.2) inclusive shall render the competitor ineligible for championship and class points at any rounds where the stickers are not carried and/or clearly visible at the start of each round.

10.COMPETITION NUMBERS
10.1 Competitors may request a competition number which shall be allocated for their use for the whole year by the event promoter (the WASCC).
10.2 Any request for a change in competition number shall be made to the WASCC who maintain the register of competition numbers.

11.ENTRIES FOR RACE MEETINGS
11.1 The IPRAWA shall provide a current mailing list of registered IPRAWA championship competitors to the WASCC.
11.2 The IPRAWA shall not be responsible for the provision of Supplementary Regulations to the individual beyond the provision of the mailing list to the WASCC. If supplementary regulations have not been received 6 weeks prior to the event it is the responsibility of the competitor to contact the promoter of that race meeting.
11.3 The number “1” shall be reserved for the previous years “Overs” and number “11” for the “Unders” State championship winner. 

12.POSTPONEMENTS AND FORCE MAJEURE
12.1 The WASCC reserves the right to postpone, abandon or cancel their round or race, or vary the length or time of the race in consultation with the stewards of the meeting. Any such variations shall be in accordance with the NCRs of CAMS.
